NYC SCA — I.S. 278 New Media Library As part of the firm's continuing services to the NYC SCA, dD+P is designing a new multi-media library for I.S. 278. Located in Brooklyn, within a 134,000 sf, 3-story school building, the new project design converts office space and print rooms into a new cross-platform multi-media library with online access to a variety of audio, visual and digital resources, and book and printed collections. Included in the design are mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems upgrades, and new furnishings and finishes. Custom circulation desk and seating modules will allow for a wide variety of uses of the main library space by the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classes.
