Stillwell Avenue Portal Building
di Domenico + Partners designed the new 33,000 square foot three-story mixed-use building in the heart of Coney Island.

Topped by two-stories occupied by NYCT Police District #34 and Station Signal Maintainers Quarters, the ground floor arcade will offer new retail stores and concessions to this quintessential New York City neighborhood. Inspired by its "Playland" context, the lively design suits its location at Surf and Stillwell Avenues, a block from the beach boardwalk. An existing terra-cotta parapet, recommended for listing on the National Historic Places, will be maintained from a previous structure on the site.

dD+P provided architectural design and construction administration services, including coordination with the NYS Historic Preservation Office, NYCT Museum, and MTA Arts for Transit program.
