Consolidated Maintenance and Rail Shop Facilities for PATH di Domenico + Partners directed a multidisciplinary team of architects and engineers in the design and implementation of a new 65,000 square foot office and shop facility for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Significant field inventory and analysis of the existing facilities was required in order to establish appropriate equipment clearances and relationships while accommodating the requirements of ADA. Shops, lockers, railborne inside traffic, elevators and other accessible components were addressed with ADA as a common criterion. Detailed equipment drawings were prepared with relocation specifications that define removal and installations of rail bending and car repair equipment in the new building.
