Landscape Architecture
The landscape architecture component of di Domenico + Partners has established a successful practice in small and large projects for public and private clients. On Roosevelt Island, dD+P shaped 15 acres into one of the largest public recreational areas built in New York City in the past three decades. The park includes active recreation, such as tennis, baseball, and soccer, as well as passive zones for gardening, picnicking, and strolling along a waterfront esplanade. di Domenico + Partners has worked with public agencies and civic groups to develop long-range planning goals and objectives while incorporating community input in the planning process. The firm has assisted the City of New York in working with communities to build a consensus about planning and design decisions related to parks, open spaces and related facilities.
