Trenton Rail Complex and Intermodal Plaza The Trenton Rail Complex and Intermodal Plaza is being modernized to handle an ever increasing ridership. At the station complex, transfer between automobile, NJ Transit trains and buses, Amtrak, SEPTA, and light rail systems is possible. The design of the exterior landscape will facilitate the integration of these different modes of transportation. When entering the station building, the plaza provides users with open, easily accessible space designed to articulate clear patterns of circulation between the various forms of intermodal transit serving the area. Upon exiting the station, the plaza opens up as a visual introduction to the New Jersey capitol city of Trenton, offering riders open, panoramic views of the surrounding community.
