Our new studio building features sustainable elements such as extensive daylighting, water use reduction, energy star equipment, a "green" terrace, as well as a bike room and shower to encourage employees to bike to work. The studio also keeps several bikes for site visit, meetings, deliveries, and exploring the ever developing LIC neighborhood. A green roof is underway and will consist of 4,000 sq.ft of a layered system including a root barrier, drainage sheet, filter sheet, engineered soil, river rock around penetrations, and extensive plantings and sedum varieties.
