Our LIC studio building features sustainable elements such as extensive daylighting, water use reduction, energy star equipment, a ″green″ terrace, as well as a bike room and shower to encourage employees to bike to work. The studio also keeps several bikes for site visits, meetings, deliveries, and exploring the ever developing LIC neighborhood. A planned green roof will consist of 4,000 sq.ft. of a layered system including a roof barrier, drainage sheet, filter sheet, engineered soil, river rock around penetrations, an extensive plantings and sedum varieties.
Our D.C. Metro office, located at Washington Circle in the District, is within a recently completed LEED Certified mixed-use building. The studio supports wellness with access to a full fitness center and participates in the building′s comprehensive single source recycling program. Consistent with the firm′s commitment to a sustainable workplace the studio is a short walk from the Foggy Bottom Station on the Metro.
