For one night in November, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City was transformed from a convention center into a gathering place for the world. The Javits Center was host to the election night event for Hillary Clinton on November 8, and it was a grand setting for the much anticipated election results.

The atrium which defines the Crystal Palace and arrival concourse was temporarily filled to accommodate a stage and viewing area for the first time. The design of the stage was accomplished by erecting a temporary structure beginning on the Concourse Level through the Public Space area and onto Level 3, bringing it level with the Crystal Palace. It was a design previously thought impossible but made feasible by working with various team members including structural engineers, stage designers, media technicians, and code officials.

The transformation that occurred literally overnight converted the Concourse Level and Crystal Palace into an event space not previously imagined. Readying the dynamic spaces throughout the six-block convention center set a new standard for the event industry.
