Promotions at di Domenico + Partners

di Domenico + Partners is proud to announce the promotions of three studio members to Senior Associate: Aileen G. Muñoz, NCIDQ, LEED AP; David F. Tobar, AIA; and Alyssa Topinka, AIA. These promotions demonstrate dD+P's commitment to support and encourage studio members in growing and contributing to the constantly changing architecture and design world.

Alongside existing leadership and founding Principals John di Domenico, AIA, LEED AP and Andrew Berger, AIA, ASLA, they join dD+P's key individuals in shaping the firm's architecture, interiors, landscape architecture and urban design studio. Learn a little more about our newest Senior Associates below:

Aileen Muñoz is dD+P's resident interiors specialist and workplace strategist. She often spends her time considering how the design of workspaces can engage and inspire people. She has been a team leader for many of the firm's recent commercial interior projects as well as a designer on school and transit renovations. Her experience spans all project stages, from conception to construction, though her particular interest is in materiality, texture and color, using details and finishes to turn vision into form. In addition to being a certified interior designer, Aileen is a LEED Accredited Professional and offers a sustainable perspective on design and furniture selection.

David Tobar brings experience in architectural design, adaptive re-use, and construction administration on many of dD+P's education and transportation projects. He has significant rehabilitation expertise and as a result, has extensive knowledge of restoration practices for both historic and non-historic buildings. This knowledge spans all phases of the design process, managing complex project teams, and working closely in the field with contractors and owners to resolve issues as they arise. His talent for anticipating unknowns and project management extends to a variety of other roles including planning for future technology advancements in the studio.

Alyssa Topinka's range of experience includes work for institutional and educational clients as well as residential projects. Since beginning with dD+P, Alyssa has been managing the firm's restoration, flood mitigation, and exhibit coordination for the New York Aquarium in Coney Island, along with a new transit police facility underway in Staten Island. Alyssa oversees the firm's mentorship program and is an active member of dD+P's Green Team. Her approach to architecture is derived from the architect's unique involvement in a project from conceptual design through construction while collaborating with clients to solve problems in efficient and beautiful ways.
